Core Tax Administration System (CoreTax)

The Core Tax Administration System (CoreTax) in Indonesia, which will take effect on January 1, 2025. CoreTax is a modernization of the core tax administration system aimed at enhancing automation, digitalization, and transparency in tax administration services. 

Key points about CoreTax: 

1. Service Efficiency: 

   Taxpayers can access tax services independently through an online system. 

   Filing of Tax Returns (SPT) will be more automated and accurate. 

2. Transparency and Supervision: 

   The system provides a comprehensive (360-degree) view of taxpayers' tax information. 

   Tax supervision and enforcement will be more accurate and fair. 

3. Benefits for the Tax Authority and Taxpayers: 

   Tax data will be more credible and integrated. 

   Decision-making will be based on better data and analytics. 

   It will improve taxpayer compliance and the country’s tax revenue ratio.
